Joyce and Nicholas – Washington, DC

Joyce and Nicholas were married in a beautifully traditional ceremony combining Filipino and Cuban traditions at The Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle. Prior to the ceremony Joyce enjoyed relaxing with her bridesmaids at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Giselle of Hair by Giselle styled Joyce’s hair while Kim of Beauty Mark provided her makeup. In addition to adorning Joyce with a diamond necklace and matching earrings, Greg Jezarian created custom race car cuff links, a gift from Joyce to Nick for their wedding. Following the ceremony we headed over to the Lincoln Memorial for some great group shots of the wedding party before returning to the Mandarin Oriental for an amazing reception. Dominic and Patrick from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel were great to work with. We always enjoy taking photos of the stunning ballroom decor provided by Capital Decor and Events and this was no exception. All the guests including the bride and groom had a blast creating their own photographs in our photo booth, while we enjoyed capturing some romantic images of the couple later in the evening. Saratoga Springs, NY – Wedding of Nicolette & Dan

This past May we had the opportunity to go to Saratoga Srings, in NY to photograph a really cool and wonderful couple, Nicolette & Dan.

We had a great time getting to know their families and working with them. Both of their families made us feel like a part of them and that means a lot to us. It does change the dynamics of our work and it becomes much more personal and engaging. And we can do a lot more!

The location of the wedding was at the old Canfield Casino, it has a beautiful park and fountain. It is really a pretty place. Actually all of Saratoga Springs was beautiful!

Thank you Nicolette & Dan for taking us to Saratoga and sharing your wedding day with us. I personally had a GREAT time and I’m looking forward in making a one of a kind album for you.

I hope to see you soon.

Sarah and Gerard-Chesapeake Beach, MD

We recently had a chance to get out of the city and travel east to Chesapeake Beach to photograph Sarah and Gerard’s wedding. What a beautiful day and a the perfect setting for a summer wedding! Sarah and Gerard got ready at the Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa. The harbor side hotel has a beautiful view of the water and we all enjoyed listening to the band from the restaurant play as we took a few shots of the bride and groom before heading over to the ceremony location. The ceremony was held in the breathtaking Polynesian Bridal Lawn at Herrington on the Bay. The serene atmosphere was complimented by beautiful music from the St. Charles String Quartet. After the ceremony guests were able to walk to the nearby Paradise Ballroom for the reception. The open air ballroom was beautifully decorated with flowers by Eufloria, and lighting by Perkins Productions. Music Masters provided some great music for the party. The beautiful event was organized by Beth Bailey of Elizabeth Bailey Weddings. Thank you to Sarah and Gerrard for sharing your day with us!

Molly & Alec – Washington, DC

This past weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Molly and Alec’s wedding. Molly and Alec met in college at the University of Richmond and have been dating for nine years. They are so in love with each other and their happiness made photographing them such a joy. We also really enjoyed getting to know their amazing friends and family who were very excited for the happy couple. As we arrived Giselle from Hair by Giselle was just finishing with Molly in the Linden Room at the Fairmont Hotel. The beautiful and very personal ceremony was held at the Universalist National Memorial Church, and officiated by lifelong family friends of the bride and groom. Following the ceremony we made our way to the the Capitol Building and Union Station for some fun photos with the bridal party, while the guests returned to the beautiful Fairmont Hotel. The reception was held in the beautiful and unique Colonnade Ballroom. Flowers were provided by Yellow Door and the whole event was pulled together by planner Sara Franklin who is always wonderful to work with. Thank you Molly and Alec for letting us be a part of your beautiful wedding!

Denise & Gill- Washington DC

Denise and Gill’s wedding was so unique! Despite a little rain at the end of the ceremony everyone had a wonderful time and was thoroughly entertained during the Washington DC themed reception. Congratulations Denise and Gill and thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!

Joyce & Nicholas- Engagement Session Washington, DC

Back in the spring we had the opportunity to photograph Nicholas and Joyce’s engagement session in Washington, DC. It was a beautiful day with the cherry blossoms in full bloom, the perfect setting for some great photos. Congratulations to Joyce and Nicholas who will be getting married on July 24.

Kristine and Alec – Washington, DC

What a magical day! Kristine and Alec had a unique wedding that captured the magic and excitement of their personalities perfectly, and we were so lucky to be a part of it! The bride got ready at the beautiful Willard Intercontinental Hotel, with makeup by Gustavo and hair by Susie Ruckstuhl. The ceremony took place at New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in Washington DC. Following the ceremony the reception got underway at the beautiful National Museum of Women in the Arts, which was transformed into a beautiful ballroom with lighting by John Farr, flowers by Multiflor, and catering and rentals by Occasions. The fun-loving couple, with the help of their wonderful wedding planner Laura Weatherly from Engaging Affairs, chose memorable and exciting details from s’mores to bride and groom themed Mickey Mouse hats. There were also a few hidden Mickey’s throughout the reception including a mini Micky in the cake provided by Kendall’s Cakes. All the magic was captured on film by Tom Bowen and on canvas by the live painter Irina Koren. Thank you so much Kristine and Alec for letting us be a part of your magical wedding!

Akofa & Darren – Washington DC & Virginia

We recently had the pleasure of photographing Darren and Akofa’s wedding. The ceremony took place at the beautiful and historic Georgetown Lutheran Church. After the ceremony guests enjoyed dancing the night away at the Clarendon Ballroom to eclectic music provided by DJ Steve. The Ballroom was decorated beautifully with unique flower arrangements by Yellow Door and lighting by Ampa Events. The event was organized by Sara Franklin of Social Scene who we always enjoy working with and captured on video by Geoffrey Muse of Thomas Bowen Video. Renne & Joseph’s Wedding, Fort Belvoir Officers Club, VA

Beautiful day, beautiful couple.

I had the pleasure of photographing Renee & Joseph before, for their engagement session, and we hit it off immediately. Later I had the honor of doing Renee’s bridal portrait and we had tons of fun (again).

It was wonderful to be a part of their wedding day. I love couples like this, totally and absolutely in LOVE with each other!

The day of the wedding, the ceremony took place outside on the gazebo which made it look like a fairy tale wedding. After doing some bridal party portraits, we went inside of the Officer’s Club for a great dinner and a lot of dancing. It was great to see everyone in the dance floor for hours on end. After they had their dinner, we took them outside again to do some more romantic portraits. Just the two of them. Just how I like it!

Trinetta, her day-of wedding coordinator ,made sure everything wen without a hitch. AND Kate, Renee’s very good friend, made sure all the girls looked their best. Thank you for helping Renee and Joseph have a fantastic day..
